LES ARMES DU META-BARON (travis charest)

Finally... long awaited book and more than five years in the making (I guess) by Jodorowsky and art by Travis Charest/Janjetov now is in my hand. Yiehaaaaaaa! LES ARMES DU META-BARON (oversize format) is unavailable in U.S and only available in French... so I have to order it from Amazon French, they said the book is out of print but lucky for me there are a few copies left at Amazon French. The book also in French but I still can read it with the 'magic' of internet. The artwork by Travis Charest looks wonderful but additional art by Janjentov is not so very good compared by Travis art. I know Janjetov can do more than this because I saw his previous art and better than this. Travis Charest steals the show in this book. Hopefully he can do more book like this in the future especially for Marvel book. I don't care if it painted art or line drawing as long as the art by Travis Charest. That's all I can say.

I have no idea when I did this and where the original is, I only have this painting in low resolution format. It was for a publication long time ago. I always love to do like this again in the future, but not the shoe. Pencil/photoshop.

The Master Revisited

Hey! Just adding the gray on my previous black and white which I posted on my gallery at Deviantart. This is one of my method (first step) on coloring in digital or traditional. I really enjoyed drawing old man... plus mechanical. Next... 'The Master Revisited' in color. You can see part of it above, the blog header.

I'm not ready to reveal about the plot yet but I'll make sure the art will be kick ass (at least I'm trying cos I know I'm not good enough). So wait for more update.

Wolverine - speed painting

Just practicing speed painting using photoshop in only one layer. That mean it's all 100 percent digital. I did this in about 30 minutes. Still preferring hand drawing and coloring in digital or traditional... but this speed painting for sure help me in concept art or character designing.

The master and his student

Actually I did this for a comic... the idea came to my head when I saw 'the Seven Samurai' and 'Afro Samurai' anime. I still not sure which one is suppose to be the master... how about the Cyborg?

Bad Superhuman

Also as back cover for G3 magazine... It was fun to create this guy's superhero costume... No idea what will I call him but he will make an appearance in current running comic 'Supermarket' in the same magazine. Drawing by me and color on photoshop by me.

I'm back!

So I thought I'd post something but there's nothing in almost 7 month since my last post in January with Ladytron pin up, sorry about that. Something really unexpected... my life, my day job and almost everything that everybody won't to know. But it settled down slowly... and here I am.

Collaborated with Shawn Battle on his new self publish under 'Rebel Comic'. And the book will only available in US.

Still on working for my ongoing comic running in local comic magazine called 'Supemarket'. A funny story about a young superhero adventure with his friends. Only available in my country.

Last but not least... my online comic still in progress (again?). Take a long time to publish but only can I say is... it's free. The online comic will update every 2 weeks... The comic is about a new kind of supehero... I won't to tell you everything here but only this tagline as a teaser... "2 worlds, one hero".

Ladytron

It was fun to draw Ladytron... female cyborg from comic Wildcats published by Wildstorm Comic. It was little bit complicated coz I had to draw all the Ladytron's detail. You can color it if you like. Hmm... if I got a chance to draw comic about Ladytron solo adventure but who knows. Actually I did this for my online friend Kim Loh, also an artist but I never meet her before. Happy new year 2008! This is my first post in 2008 and more to come. Sorry for slow posting but better late than never. Conan was created by Robert E. Howard one of my faves character. I drew this just on A4 paper with pencil. Maybe later I'll paint it in photoshop... so wait for that!
